Rat tail cactus

Aporocactus flagelliformis or Disocactus flagelliformis, commonly known as the Rat Tail cactus, is a stunning succulent with a flexible, hanging stem and soft, gentle spines. Its magenta-pink blooms make it ideal for trailing or growing in a hanging basket.  Its sturdy nature allows it to grow in a variety of environments and its low maintenance requirements make it an ideal gift for any cactus lover.

Care information

Prefers bright, direct light where possible although will also be happy in bright but indirect light and dry, warm air. Like most cacti, rat tail cactus does best when allowed to dry out between watering. During winter, cut watering by half and then reinstate when spring growth begins.
